Know all men by these presents, That we William Dodson and Campbell S. Mayfield both of Surprise Valley in the county of Siskiyou and State of California have on the 2nd day of June A.D. 1873, claimed and located five hundred (500) inches of the water flowing in the stream known as Deep Creek situated in said Surprise Valley.
