Notice is hereby given that I claim one thousand (1000) inches of water to be diverted from the stream known as the Middle Cascade Creek in Surprise Valley. The Ditch is sufficiently large to convey the water to the land and is made to intersect the original stream upon the E1/2 of NW1/4 of Sec 36, T.42 N of R.16 east. Dated at Cedarville, Modoc Co. Cal. Sept. 10th, 1875. James McAllen.
