Notice of Water Claim & Reservoir Site. Notice is hereby given that we Wm Cantrall and Geo E. Williams severally claim 500 inches each, measured under a four inch pressure, aggregating 1000 inches so measured, of that Main Stream situated in Modoc County, California known and called Mill Creek, which rises in the Warner Range of Mountains and flowing westerly unites with East Creek and Nearly East of Jess Valley, and thus forms the South Fork of Pit River...

Notes: Joint claim - 500 inches each. Dam at 'Clear Lake' lagoon, 1.5 miles east of Jess Valley. Dam: 12 ft high, 12+ ft wide at bottom, timber/lumber/earth/stone. Water box: 3 ft deep, 6 ft wide with gate. Reservoir claims entire lagoon. Water flows via natural channel to ditches. Williams uses pre-existing 'Masters & Ortley ditch' 15 miles below dam.
