Know all men by these presents, that I B.F. Ralston of Hot Spring Valley, County of Modoc, State of California, have this day claimed and appropriated, and do hereby claim and appropriate for the purpose of irrigation, all of the waters of a certain spring commonly known as the Starin Spring in said Valley — the said water exceeding in quantity fifty (50) inches measured under a four inch pressure. To further establish the said water right I propose to convey said water by means of the natural channel down to a point where said channel carries said water in front or through my Ranch.
