Know all men by these presents, that I Robert Ennis of Hot Spring Valley, County of Modoc, State of California, have this day appropriated and do hereby claim and appropriate for the general purpose of irrigation all of the water (the same not exceeding fifty (50) inches measured under a four inch pressure) of a certain Spring in said Valley, County and State, commonly known as the Hall Spring.
