Know all men by these presents, that I Samuel King of Surprise Valley, County of Modoc, State of California, have this day claimed and appropriated and do here by claim and appropriate for the purposes of irrigation, one hundred (100) inches measured under a four inch pressure, of the waters flowing in the Creek known as Bull Creek, in afore said Surprise Valley. To further establish said water right, I hereby give notice that I have and will divert said water by means of a ditch at least two feet wide and one foot deep for the last 15 years ago and taken out of said Creek on the land owned by Mr. Langner and described as a portion of Sec 35 Twp 41 N R 16 E.
