That I Henry VanBebber of Hot Spring Valley have this day appropriated and claimed all of the waters of Hot Creek, not exceeding 500 inches measured under a four inch pressure. Said water to be diverted at or near the line between John Free's Swamp Lands and Henry Walton's Ranch and conveyed by means of a ditch of sufficient capacity (two feet wide and one and one half feet deep). Said water is claimed for irrigation, Garden uses and for stock water. Dated July 3rd A.D. 1876. Henry VanBebber, Claimant. Witness: J. Moots.
