John M. Bordwell. Water claim. Notice. Know all men by these presents that I, John M. Bordwell of Surprise Vally Siskiyou County California claim two hundred 200 inches of water now running out of the North Fork of amerson Creek in Surprise Vally and in the ditch owned by me and used by me since August 1st. 1868.
Notes: SISKIYOU TRANSCRIPTION. North Fork of Emerson Creek (Bordwell spells it 'amerson'). Claims use since August 1, 1868 — PRE-DATES Brown's 1872 claim on same creek!
