This water right does not appear in California's eWRIMS database. The holder likely has not filed
a Statement of Diversion and Use with the State Water Resources Control Board. Pre-1914 rights are
only in eWRIMS if holders voluntarily filed — many have not, making these rights less visible to the state.
Know All Men by These Presents, That I, Thomas S. Turner of Siskiyou County, State of California, have on the 1st day of April A.D. 1872 claimed and located Five (500) Hundred inches of the water running in the stream known as Fitzhugh Creek situated in the southern portion of said Siskiyou County.
Notes: SISKIYOU COUNTY TRANSCRIPTION — original filed April 19, 1872, recorded same day by John V. Brown (by F.R. Hogeboom, Dep'y). Originally in Siskiyou Co. Book 4 of Mining Claims page 235. Certified May 11, 1908 by Eugene Dowling (earlier than most other transcriptions). Transcribed to Modoc at request of W.E. Armstrong (new requester). Document dated 'South Fork of Pitt River' — placing Turner in that area. Henry Fitzhugh gave name to the creek.
