George H. Bayley

Know all men by these presents, that I George H. Bayley of South Fork Township, County of Modoc and State of California, have this day located and appropriated and do claim for the purposes of irrigation five hundred (500) inches (measured under a four inch pressure) of the water flowing in the Creek commonly known as Stone's Creek, said waters to be conveyed by means of a ditch commencing at this point about one mile southwest from Montgomery's house and running northerly along the base of the hills onto the land owned by me. It is my intention to establish by said water right to abandon all rights that may have been acquired by me on the water right established by me on the 29th day of February A.D. 1875.
