S.S. Bailey

Notice is hereby given to all whom it may concern, that I S.S. Bailey of South Fork Township, County of Modoc and State of California, have this 10th day of April, A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy five, claimed two hundred and fifty (250) inches (under a 4 inch pressure) of the water flowing in Stone's Creek in excess of the water claimed by J.V. Stone as a riparian proprietor, to irrigate his Ranch, and except so much of said water as will flow in a ditch 30 inches wide and 20 inches deep, as recorded by G.H. Bailey in the Clerk's Office of Modoc County. That I claim the water for irrigating purposes and intend to take it out of said Creek (at a point) at or near Stone's south line, in a ditch 30 inches wide and 20 inches deep, carrying the same through Stone's Ranch on to that now owned and occupied by me in Township 39 North, Range 12 East, Mt.
