State Database (eWRIMS)

Not in state DB

This water right does not appear in California's eWRIMS database. The holder likely has not filed a Statement of Diversion and Use with the State Water Resources Control Board. Pre-1914 rights are only in eWRIMS if holders voluntarily filed — many have not, making these rights less visible to the state.

Notes: MASSIVE speculative claim — 50,000 inches from GOOSE LAKE itself (not a creek). Divert from south end of Goose Lake in Sec 26, T45N R13E. ENORMOUS canal: 50 ft top, 40 ft bottom, 8 ft deep — one of the largest canal specs in the record. Irrigate lands within 10 miles of Alturas PLUS Hot Spring Valley AND Big Valley — covering vast area of western Modoc County. FROM OREGON — claimant from State of Oregon, County of Lake. Notarized by Chas Urbach, Notary Public in Oregon. Posted April 23, 1912. Filed June 13 — almost 2 month delay. Filed at request of C.H. McKendree.
