State Database (eWRIMS)

Not in state DB

This water right does not appear in California's eWRIMS database. The holder likely has not filed a Statement of Diversion and Use with the State Water Resources Control Board. Pre-1914 rights are only in eWRIMS if holders voluntarily filed — many have not, making these rights less visible to the state.

Know all men by these presents: That I, Robert Imrie of Hot Spring Valley, County of Modoc and State of California, have this day claimed and appropriated for the purposes of irrigation, one hundred (100) inches of the waters now flowing in Thomas Creek. In order to further establish said water right, I intend to divert and to convey said water by means of an old ditch constructed by one Lawrence Thomas in 1871 or 1872. I have continuously used said water since August 24th A.D. 1873, at which time James B. Horgan transferred all his right, title and interest to said ditch and water right. Dated Nov. 3rd, 1875. Robert Imrie.

Notes: Pages 37-38. Water right chain: Lawrence Thomas (built ditch 1871-72) → James B. Horgan → Robert Imrie (since Aug 24, 1873). Thomas Creek likely named after Lawrence Thomas.
