Horace D. Mayntle. Water Claims. Notice: To all whom these presents may concern: Know ye that I have on this May [?] A.D. 1871 claimed by purchase from Sanborn & Coffee all the water running in the Creek known as Mayntle Creek, situated in Goose Lake Valley, in the County of Siskiyou, State of California. Said water claim and right consists of a ditch with capacity of carrying three hundred inches of water. Dated at Goose Lake Valley this 23rd day of December, A.D. 1870.
