Know all men by these presents, that I S.S. Bayley, South Fork Township, Modoc County and State of California, I this day claim and appropriate to my own use and benefit 500 five hundred inches of water, issuing and flowing out of a certain Spring near my present residence, my garden being located at said Spring, to be conveyed by ditch or otherwise, upon my ranch for irrigating purposes. Said water at present flowing in its natural channel. Jan. 2nd 1875. S.S. Bayley. At request of Simeon S. Bayley, filed for record this 2nd day of January A.D. 1875 at 5 min past 9 o'clock A.M. N. FitzGerald, Recorder. Recorded this 2nd day of January A.D. 1875 at 22 min. past 3 o'clock P.M. N. FitzGerald, Recorder.
