Notice is hereby given that I for my individual use and benefit and for the purposes of irrigation, claim four hundred inches, (measured under a 4 inch pressure) of the waste water from Pine Creek, to be conveyed upon my Preemption claim by means of a ditch running west from the point of commencement. Said ditch has been at this time very nearly completed and is of the following dimensions viz: two feet deep and four feet wide at the surface. Said ditch commences within two hundred yards of the west side of Harman Stuart's Claim and runs thence west upon my Claim. Dorris Bridge, Cal. May 27, 1874. Alexander Gross. Filed for Record at request of A. Gross this twenty seventh day of May A.D. 1874 at 10 minutes past 10 o'clock A.M. and recorded sixteenth day of July A.D. 1874 at two o'clock P.M. N.
